It goes into tunnels of olm –oak and strawberry trees surrounded by the typical Mediterranean bush; it crosses wild precipices, full of caves and small vineyards where ped’e palomma grapes are obtained. Climb to Brunate by funicular to appreciate some of the most striking panoramic views of Lake Como. An open Jeep with private driver will take you from the Bellavista up to the Lighthouseof S.Maurizio, with stops along the way to make excellent photographs. The Voltiano Lighthouse is a monument that dominates the city of Como built in 1927. It can be accessed inside the 33 meter high towerenjoy a 360 ° view that includes the Alps and the Po Valley. Siena’s palio competition is held July 2 and August 16 each year. In the first race, 10 of the 17 contrade, districts, compete. Each district has their own jockey and a horse assigned at random.

In August the other 7 contrade race along with 3 from the first race. Riders race around the inside of Siena’s central square, Piazza del Campo. The actual race lasts only about 90 seconds but it’s very dangerous and exciting.
