We went to the movies last night, NZ style. We walked into the town hall, masquerading as a movie theater and we could tell this was going to be a different experience. One row of people with two plastic chairs each, one for their butts and one for their feet. I guess we should have expected something a little different when Chris told us we had to bring our own snacks.
The movie, 7 Psychopaths, made it even more surreal. Great cast, Christopher Walken, Woody Harrelson and Tom Waits, (hold on I thought Tom was just a singer) but a movie about psychopaths killing psychopaths, people kidnapping dogs and the mafia made for one crazy experience. After the movie Chris explained that the closest “real” movie theater is an hour away and requires taking the car ferry, ($11 each way) than an hour drive and the cost of theater tickets, unaffordable and time consuming so Russell created their own experience. 7 psychopaths???
